About us
EAQG:
EAQG (European Aerospace Quality Group) is:
- the Quality community of ASD, the AeroSpace & Defence Industries Association of Europe
- and the European sector of IAQG, the International Aerospace Quality Group. (European sector at large representing Europe, Middle East, Russia and Africa)
EAQG is a cooperative global organisation of companies (30 European major companies) providing Aviation, Space and Defence products and services supported by 11 National Trade Associations.
EAQG as part of IAQG is a global organisation of companies providing:
- Aviation and Space Products (including platforms and systems) and Services
- Land and Sea based systems for defence applications
EAQG purpose is to implement initiatives that make significant improvements in Quality and reductions in cost throughout the value stream by establishing and maintaining dynamic co-operation based on trust between International Aerospace companies.
EAQG objectives are to:
- Establish commonality of Aviation, Space and Defence Quality systems
- Establish and implement a process of continual improvement to bring initiatives to life (e.g. Industry expectations, lean manufacturing, and performance metrics)
- Establish methods to share best practices in the Aviation, Space and Defence industry
- Coordinate initiatives and activities with regulatory/government agencies and other industry Stakeholders
EAQG focus is to continuously improve the processes used by the Supply Chain to deliver consistently high Quality products, thereby reducing non - value added activities and cost.
EAQG as representing the Quality community of ASD is reporting to the ASD Operations Commission.
The 2 affiliated associations:
- ASD-EASE (European Aerospace Supplier Evaluation)
- ASD-PRO (European Special Processes Assessment System)
are reporting to EAQG.

API:
"Aerospace Performance Improvement" (API) is the EAQG services platform developed to provide the Aerospace & Defence Supply Chain industry with services allowing the performance improvement of the whole Supply Chain.
The proposed services are covering the field of Quality (at large) by implementing:
- a robust Quality Management System (QMS)
- the best practices of the main Supply Chain processes in order to achieve significant improvements in term of:
- Quality (On Time, On Quality)
- and reductions of costs (On Cost)
Services are delivered through Partners selected by EAQG to provide all Supply Chain companies (Primes and Suppliers) with the right tools to achieve the performance improvement.

ASD-EASE:
"European Aerospace Supplier Evaluation" association, ASD-EASE purpose is to:
- Share between Members the results of Quality Systems Assessment on common suppliers
- Alert other Members in case of Quality and safety problems
- Reduce Quality System Assessments costs, for Members and Suppliers by preventing multiple auditing at suppliers by the Aerospace industry, ensuring a harmonised approach by all Industry auditors
- Encourage co-operation and evaluation of new or revised techniques, policies and specifications for Supplier Quality Management
- Exchange information, ideas and experience between Members at regular meetings
- Act in Europe as Major contributor to the development, implementation and management of the IAQG ICOP scheme (Industry Controlled Other Party) for Supplier Certification and the associated database OASIS (Online Aerospace Supplier Information System
Support the management of the Other Party Scheme in Europe by co-ordinating all approval and oversight activities of the National Aerospace Industry Associations on Certification Bodies and auditors, and by performing periodic oversight on these activities
50 Aerospace companies are ASD-EASE members divided in 5 Regional Groups:
- Central (Belgium and France)
- East (Germany and The Netherlands)
- North (Denmark, Norway and Sweden)
- South (Italy and Spain)
- West (Ireland and UK)

ASD-PRO:
"European Special Processes Assessment System" association, ASD-PRO purpose is to:
- Qualify Special Processes applied at Aerospace suppliers, e.g. Heat Treatment, Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection, Anodizing, X-Ray etc...
- Audit standards applied by ASD-PRO are based upon PRI - Nadcap questionnaires for auditing Special Processes
- Give accreditations (under PRI – Nadcap control)
20 Aerospace companies are ASD-PRO members.
ASD-PRO is part through an agreement of the global PRI-Nadcap (the National Aerospace and Defence Contractors Accreditation Program) system for the certification of Special Processes driven by major USA companies.
However ASD-PRO retains its capability to audit Special Processes with its own auditors servicing the European Industry with local language audit capabilities.
ASD-PRO member’s experts are fully participating in Nadcap Task groups and Nadcap organisational bodies.
ASD:
ASD is the AeroSpace & Defence Industries Association of Europe, based in Brussels (Belgium) representing the European Industry with 32 National Trade Associations representing 21 countries.
ASD’s overall mission is to enhance the competitive development of the Aeronautic, Space and Defence industry in Europe.
As part of its operations ASD:
- Offer a single point of contact and expertise to our partners and stakeholders in the institutions and organisations in Brussels, Europe and worldwide.
- Follow and analyse the legislation that influences the sector.
- Generate common industry positions with particular emphasis upon the economic, political, legal, industrial, technical and structural aspects.
- Influence the regulation of the sector.
- Manage statistics and key figures.
